The University of Arkansas is one of the best campuses in the country, but there are some questions I, and some of my peers, have been wondering about. We need answers.

1. Why is tuition so expensive?

2. Why does the dining hall close so early?

3. Why do U of A Cops give so many tickets?

4. Can we get more washers and driers in the dorms?

5. Why do we have literally no parking?

6. Why don't we have more restaurants in the Union cafeteria?

7. Why do we have to move our cars for sports games? I already paid to park there.

8. Why is there so much construction in the most inconvenient places?

9. Why is resident reserved so expensive and so hard to get?

10. Why does safe ride take so long to get to me?

11. If I get hit by a car, will I get free tuition?

12. Why are there so many hills?

13. Why is the ice cream machine always broken in the dining hall?

14. Why do I have to buy my own scantrons?

15. Why can't I meal trade for lunch?

16. Why can't I get my packages on Saturday?

17. How do classes fill up so freakin' fast?

18. Why aren't more of our buildings handicap accessible?

19. Why can't I have a pet in my dorm?

20. Why is there no free parking for visitors?

21. Can we have to-go boxes for the dining hall?

22. Why won't the health center write me a doctor's note when I'm sick?

23. Why does Pomfret have their own dining hall?

24. Why doesn't Tusk come to campus more?

25. How did I get so lucky with such an awesome university?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
