During Christmastime, one of the things we all look forward to is the movies. There are almost too many to watch! The comedies, romance films, and heartwarming classics really make you feel the magic of the season. Since you can't possibly watch them all this month, here is a list of 25 movies you need to watch this holiday season. Warning: There are some spoilers in this article!

1. A Christmas Story

We've all heard the famous line, "You'll shoot your eye out!" Ralphie and his pink bunny pajamas marked this as the movie that defined Christmas for me as a child. If you haven't seen this, please find the nearest TV and turn it on.

2. Elf

This is a modern classic. Will Ferrell plays the part of Buddy the Elf, who is trying to connect with his father in New York City. His cluelessness and antics make for a hilarious Christmas comedy.

3. The Santa Clause

This Tim Allen flick is a Christmas staple. It has a great background story along with being a Christmas story. It brings you into the magical world of Santa and lets your imagination run wild.

4. The Santa Clause 2: The Mrs. Clause

This offers just as many laughs as the first, but with some romance tossed in. It will have you feeling enveloped in the world of Christmas as if you were a kid again. The magic really is never ending.

5. The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause

The final installation of the Santa Clause movies doesn't let down. It's full of surprises, laughs, and lots of action. Of course, you need to watch them all consecutively to get the full effect.

6. Dr. Seuss's How The Grinch Stole Christmas!

This is the original classic that we all grew up with. This story starts with a little green man that you can't help but fall in love with by the end. This is not one to skip this holiday season.

7. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

The non-animated version with Jim Carrey playing the Grinch is no less a classic than the original version. The storyline is the same, but much more humor is added. Its guaranteed to have you laughing by the end.

8. Jingle All The Way

This one is a little older, but still a need-to-see. Arnold Schwarzenegger is not the guy you would imagine to be in a Christmas movie, but somehow it works.

9. Christmas Vacation

This is the ultimate movie for some great holiday laughs. The combination of Cousin Eddy, Clark, and Aunt Bethany makes your crazy family seem pretty normal. No matter how many times you watch this, it will still have you laughing out loud.

10. Christmas With The Kranks

Here is yet another Tim Allen Christmas movie with a ton of laughs. Its a cute story about a couple who plan to skip Christmas. It doesn't go the way they planned and the results are hilarious.

11. Polar Express

Polar Express isn't your typical Santa movie, but it still has a wintery, Christmas feel that will warm your heart. The movie captures all of your senses and leaves you feeling as if you just stepped on the train.

12. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer

Everyone knows the story of Rudolph, but it's a Christmas classic that has to be watched every year. The old animation and adorable qualities of Rudolph are irresistible.

13. Snow Buddies

This movie will either have you smiling or crying by the end. This cute story about five golden retriever pups pulls at your heart. When they make it home by the end, you can't help but shed a tear.

14. A Charlie Brown Christmas

No holiday during the year is complete without the Charlie Brown rendition. The sad little Christmas tree with one ornament on it has made this movie iconic. It just isn't quite the Christmas season until you have watched this.

15. The Nativity Story

Amid all the hustle and bustle of the season, its nice to be reminded of what the season is really about. This movie follows the entire Christmas Story, from the moment Mary begins carrying the child until the birth of the Lord.

16. Home Alone

Being left alone at Christmas time is something no one could imagine, especially not a child. That is exactly what happens in this movie. Kevin is left alone to defend himself against robbers, thinking his whole family has disappeared. Luckily, this movie has a happy ending.

17. Fred Claus

Any movie with Vince Vaughn is bound to be hilarious, including this Christmas flick. Fred, Santa's brother, moves to the north pole and ends up saving Christmas in his own way. This isn't the most popular Christmas movie out there, but definitely worth the watch.

18. Jack Frost

This movie is actually quite sad, but at least offers a happy ending. It's a moving film about a boy who loses his father but finds a way to connect with him during the holiday season. It reminds you to be humble and thankful during Christmastime.

19. The Holiday

With a different spin on a holiday film, this movie follows the love lives of two women who are going through breakups on different sides of the world. They swap homes to get away for the holidays, and both end up falling in love during their time living each other's lives.

20. Miracle on 34th Street

This is a Christmas classic, which has been remade many times. The original is a widespread favorite, though it is in black and white. It follows the story of Kris Kringle, who takes the place of the Macy's Parade Santa and finds himself in a mental facility for believing he is actually Santa Claus. When it is taken to court, it tests the true spirit in everyone's heart.

21. Bad Santa

This hilarious movie is everything Christmas shouldn't be, but we love it anyway. It follows a very crooked mall Santa and his friend who aim to drink a lot, sleep around, and rob a shopping mall. This is definitely not a movie for children.

22. A Christmas Carol

Any version of the movie is amazing. A personal favorite is Disney's computer animated version starring Jim Carrey. The story of Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmases past, present, and future displays the true meaning of the season. It shows what Christmas should be about: love, kindness, and generosity.

23. Four Christmases

This romantic comedy focuses on a couple who has to make it to four different family Christmases in one day after their vacation is cancelled. It highlights the craziness of the season and the stress it puts on the couple. It makes for a hilarious movie.

24. Love Actually

This is a sappy Christmas movie that is impossible not to love. It follows ten different stories of people who have various experiences around the holidays. Their stories are intertwined, causing you to be reeled into the storyline. It is a romantic comedy that warms your heart for the holidays.

25. Frosty The Snowman

This short movie about our beloved Frosty will have you singing, "Frosty the snowman, was a jolly happy soul" for days. Spoiler Alert: when he melts at the end it's more emotional than you would expect.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
