With the school year nearing its end and temperatures creeping higher and higher, it is almost time for long road trips with the windows down, pool parties, and lounge days at the beach. But none of these events would be complete without the perfect mix of new and old songs to create the perfect summer soundtrack. With a little bit of R&B, some pop, and maybe even some Disney soundtracks thrown in there (no judgments, please) its easy to keep your summer mindset optimistic with these hotter-than-a-popsicle-in-the-sun songs.

I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.
