- You check your iPhone every five minutes to see if you have any new notifications.
- If you have any notifications, you read them immediately.
- And if you don’t have any notifications, you become a little disappointed. #sigh
- You usually answer every text within seconds of receiving it.
- And your friends worry when you don’t answer their messages right away—they assume that you are either driving, in the shower, taking an exam, or sleeping.
- The only time that your iPhone is turned off is when you are on an airplane. Can we talk about #FOMO?
- You always have a charger or Mophie on hand, because god forbid your battery goes below 20%.
- You sleep with your iPhone right next to you just incase someone needs you at 2:00 am. #SOS
- The first thing you do in the morning is check Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook because you have to catch up on everything that you missed while sleeping.
- You are usually the first like on your friends photos.
- Your friends know that when you are texting, you cannot focus on anything else because you do not know how to multitask.
- You hyperventilate at the thought of having a cracked screen.
- If you forget your iPhone at home, you feel as if you are missing a part of your body and your anxiety levels soar through the roof.
- When driving, you secretly pray for every green light to turn red so you can check your phone.
- You text your mom to tell her your plans because you are too lazy to get up and walk ten steps to her room to tell her in person.
- People can always count on you to document everything with photos.
- Nothing is worse than getting that text saying you have used 75% of your data for the month. Especially when you have two weeks until your new data cycle starts again.
- You read old texts when you are bored.
- And you hate deleting old text messages and old photos.
- You get way too much satisfaction out of the act of closing your apps by "swiping up".
- You make fun of your friends when they do not know how to do certain things on their phones, and tell them they are technologically challenged.
- You freak out when you “lose” your iPhone, but then realize you were holding it the whole time.
- This happens at least 2 times a week.
- And your favorite apps include Find My iPhone and Find My Friends, just incase you actually lose your iPhone and need to track it down after a ~crazy~ night out.
If you can relate to any of these things, you are most definitely addicted to your iPhone. Congratulations, and welcome to the club! #iPhoneAddictsAnonymous
