After recently graduating high school, there are plenty of things I wish I could have told myself during those 4 years. Yes, high school is hard, judgmental, and full of drama, but you cannot let those things affect who you are. It is a time where people think about partying, boys/girls, being rebellious, and most importantly what college they're going to attend. Stop stressing over things that do not matter and enjoy the best 4 years of your life. If you're a senior, enjoy you're senior year, make the best out of it because it does not last forever.
- There’s no such thing as “being cool” or “being popular” just be yourself.
- Rumors don’t last forever.
- You don’t need a relationship to be complete.
- If a relationship/friendship does not work out, leave it alone. It’s not worth your time, stop being sad.
- Have a guy best friend, he’ll be the one there for you in the end.
- ACT: won’t affect how you get into college or your academic ability.
- Find great, reliable, and trustworthy friends.
- Meet new people, you'll be surprised who you meet.
- The pimple you had for homecoming/prom does not matter, nobody noticed.
- Always forgive yourself, everybody makes mistakes. Nobody is perfect.
- NAP!!!!
- Avoid big fights, over stupid things. Pick your battles wisely.
- Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.
- All of those late nights studying will pay off when graduation day comes.
- It is okay to sit at lunch or walk the halls by yourself.
- You will get judged, get over it.
- Make memories that will last a lifetime.
- Your mother is always right.
- Your parents texted you because they were worried about you, not because they are “over-protective” or “annoying".
- It is okay to eat disgusting and fatty foods.
- Your sibling is your best friend, get along with him/her.
- Always be yourself.
- Don’t grow up too fast.
As my high school days came to an end, I started realizing what mattered the most and stopped worrying about the little things.. Always remember, you'll always have yourself.
