Adulting is pretty difficult. It's so annoying to hear "you're too young to be doing that" or "you're too old to be doing this." I thought the 20's would be the most exciting years of my life, but sadly I'm stuck between my adult responsibilities and my inner child. Here are 22 ways how I don't feel 22.

1. A trip to the grocery store ends with me buying snacks instead of "real" food.

(Extreme couponing is looking more and more likely of becoming a potential hobby.)

2. I look forward to sleeping in on the weekends.

3. Sometimes I have a desire to do reckless things, but feel that I should know better.

4. The exciting age of 21 went by way too fast.

5. It still feels unreal that I can actually buy my own alcohol.

6. I feel like I should already have a plan in place about my future.

7. Many of my high school friends are already married or have children, while I'm just like:

8. Partying or going to the club seems like it should be a part of my schedule.

9. I'm stuck in the middle of wanting to have my life together and not wanting to miss what should be the "fun/exploration" years.

10. I'm still trying to get used to making my own doctor appointments.

11. Fast food is an unnecessary part of my diet.

Leftover pizza and a Twix for breakfast is acceptable.

12. It sucks to still have to rely on others for things.

"Hey mom, can you stop dancing for a sec and--mom!"

13. I feel like I should have a larger circle of friends to do things with.

14. Social media is an annoying addiction.

15. I enjoy wine because it's wine and not for its exquisite taste or great combination with certain foods.

16. Answering "how are you?" with "I'm fine," no longer seems appropriate or sincere.

17. There are freaking 15-year-olds who can do their makeup and hair better than I can.

18. I have yet to develop that bad ass confidence that supposedly comes with being in your 20's.

19. I prefer watching cartoons over reality TV shows.

20. I feel like I don't have the energy that I should have as a 22 year old.

My grandparents get out the house more than I do.

21. Leggings and yoga pants cannot be worn everyday or everywhere.

22. It's hard to remember that "adulting" doesn't stop when I'm sick.

“I think your 20s are the hardest part of life. I mean, everyone goes on about how hard it is to be a teenager, but actually I think it’s tougher to be in your 20s because you’re expected to be a grownup and expected to earn your own living and be successful and I think you feel like a kid still.”

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
