In 2010, I was walking past my little sister in the family living room, when I paused in front of the television. My little sister was watching a strange show with poorly drawn stick figure-esque characters. I sat down and finished the show, only to find that I was completely mesmerized by the little boy in blue and a goofy white hat.

Pendleton Ward, creator of the show Adventure Time, took the cartoon world by storm when he first introduced his concept as a short on the Internet in 2007. From there, the Internet took the short and ran with it until eventually, in 2010, Cartoon Network picked up Ward's characters for a 15-minute show. Since then, Adventure Time has dominated everything from clothing and plush toys, to costumes blowing away the competition at Comic Con.

The concept behind the show is incredibly childlike, while being one of the most complex shows on Cartoon Network. Adventure Time takes place in the post-apocalyptic Land of Ooo, where Finn, a human, adventures with his brother/friend/magical dog, Jake. Together, they are knights of the Candy Kingdom who serve under Princess Bubblegum and are loaned out to other various princesses. They uphold the old chivalric code of fabled knights, while also dealing with curious human problems.

While this show is pure (for the most part), as an almost adult, this show seriously speaks to my soul when it isn't tripping me out. When I need comfort from life, I sit around and binge on Adventure Time. Here are 22 times Adventure Time nails adulthood:

1. When you're so tired you can't deal.

2. When your friends ask you to eat with them even though you just ate, but you don't want to be lame.

3. When you cook your first real meal in college.

4. When it's finals week.

5. When you feel like quitting school.

6. When you leave for summer break after your first year away from home and you realize you won't see your friends for three months.

7. The ultimate advice your older college friends give you when you want to quit school. (Because we've all been there!)

8. When you hit the local club with your pals and something awful staggers your way.

9. When you go home during your first big break from college and you're eating things other than ramen for a week.

10. When you sit in that class with the professor who blows all of your previous notions out the window.

11. When you've accepted your fate your junior year of college.

12. When your final grades come out and they're different than what's on Moodle.

13. When you have a dreaded group project and nothing goes right, so you cry to your professor.

14. When you go to your sorority and fraternity functions stag.

15. When college starts getting real and you have zero time for anyone or anything.

16. When you get into your first big fight with your high school friends after being away in college for that first year.

17. And your first college boyfriend or girlfriend is actually the worst.

18. But everything is okay because life goes on.

19. You start coming into your own.

20. And you realize that college is actually one of the best things to happen to you in your young adult life. (Even if it is hard).

21. You meet quality people who may come and go through your life, but you're totally fine with the experience they leave with you.

22. And finally, you've found the place where you truly belong.

Adventure Time may be a children's show, but it surely knows how to give you the feels, especially when you're crashing the struggle bus into the ocean from an airplane 30,000 feet in the air.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
