Thank you, big sis, for everything. I know this is about the millionth article on the topic of "reasons I'm thankful for my sister," but my older sister is important enough to inspire yet another one. So thank you, older sister, because I picture myself in a place comparable to a ditch along a road if it weren't for you always picking me up when I'm down, showing me how everything is done, and always being there when I'm lonely, whether we're actually side-by-side or if we're three states away at 3 in the morning.
1. You were my best friend as a little kid and my best friend now.
2. You taught me how to dress with style.
3. And you let me borrow all your clothes.
4. And I get all of your (much cooler than my own clothes) hand-me-downs.
5. You never fought with me.
6. And you always drove me anywhere I wanted to go before I could drive.
7. You set my parents' and my expectations high for grades, college, and after college because you're so successful.
8. You proofread my papers.

9. And guide me through everything - college applications, job applications.

10. And listen to me whenever I need to vent.
11. You answer my calls and texts really late at night (and every other time of the day, too).

13. You treat me to more meals and better gifts than I ever have given to you.
14. I know I always have a place to stay or a fun place to come visit.
15. And even though we're far away, we can make plans that give me something to look forward to.

17. I know I have someone to sit by at every family dinner, and someone to discuss all of our family happenings and drama.
18. I know I have the perfect person to travel, go to concerts, and everything else with.
19. I already have a maid-of-honor for my wedding.

21. And I know you'll be there for me ever second and every thing that will worry, scare, or stress me out in the future.
22. I love you, and I'm so thankful I get to be your little sister.
