There are so many weird things we say everyday. Here are 22 questions I have for the English language regarding the things we say everyday:
1. Why is the ninth cloud the best cloud?
2. Who was Charlie and why was everyone always apologizing to him?
3. Why is it not raining zebras and antelopes? Those are bigger.
4. Why is everyone always saying goodbye using phrases that involve reptiles?
5 .Why is everyone doing things for the sake of Pete?
6. Does a goose have a specific type of bump? Did they pass it on to humans?
7. Isn't a bullet kind of hard to be biting?
8. Why would anyone hit a sack when they go to bed? I'm not in the mood to hit anything when I'm exhausted.
9. Was physically pulling someone's leg a really funny thing to do at some point?
10. Did some crazy person think beans could talk when they are spilled? Cause when I spill beans they usually don't tell secrets
11. Why would anyone only accept a penny for expressing their thoughts. My thoughts are worth way more than that
12. Why was sliced bread such a revolutionary invention?
13. Can grapevines also talk? What is it with these fruits and vegetables talking?
14. Also cats...Can they talk when they are let out of a bag too? At this point I think we might need to reevaluate who/what can actually talk
15. How does one go about stealing thunder?
16. How does having food on your shoulder make you grumpy? When I have chips I am usually a happy person
17. Did Joe really like coffee?
18. Why would people want to shop at a place that has fleas?
19. How would one go about getting butterflies in their stomach?
20. Did Jay just not know how to use a crosswalk?
21. How does a gun have a son?
22. Does it take cows a really long time to come home when they get lost?
I have a feeling we will never really know the answers to a lot of these questions, but they sure are interesting to think about.
