An ode to those who love to write and tell stories and those who love all things news. Here's a set of 22 problems that journalism majors have:

1. You always feel the need to tell your friends every single thing thats going on in the news.

2. You actually enjoy writing papers.

3. But not if it's longer than a page or two, since writing condensed is literally your entire major.

4. You always cringe at first when you hear the sound of your voice being played though computer speakers

5. The major is so broad, but the job choices are so slim.

6. You know about every single event that is going around on campus at all times.

7. Stand-ups are easier said than done.

8. You may have written the best piece you've ever written, but your journalism professor will still find the smallest details wrong with it.

9. You never truly believe anyone unless you researched the facts yourself.

10. To some people, one minute and 30 seconds might seems like nothing, but to a broadcast journalism student, its enough time to tell an entire story.

11. "Don't take this the wrong way, but I have a cousin's sister's friend's aunt who was a journalist..."

12. You know all the local papers like the back of your hand.

13. People have told you that you are in a "dying" profession.

14. You follow your journalism professors on social media, and don't think its weird.

15. You're used to the stares from other people because you have a camera.

16. You only work best under pressure.

17. There's no better feeling than a source finally getting back to you.

18. You're an excellent social media stalker.

19. Closed-ended questions are the devil.

20. You save every business card you've ever received; you can never have too many sources.

21. Judging other journalist's techniques and habits is one of your hobbies.

22. "Why does this matter?"

Keep up the hard work. No matter how many walls you hit, just keep going and pursue your dreams.
