WARNING: This article contains spoilers of "Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life"
While most people spent Thanksgiving night and Black Friday morning shopping or recovering from their food coma, I was sitting on the couch and staring at the clock, waiting for 3 AM. I had sweatpants and glasses on, popcorn already popped, and Netflix open on my TV, all ready to watch 6 hours worth of Lorelei, Rory, Emily, and the charming characters of Stars Hallow. My 6 hour binge session was filled with laughs, tears, anger, and strong feelings of nostalgia; everything I had hoped for, honestly. Here are 22 of my favorite moments from "Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life."
1. From "Winter" when we first hear Paris yelling
Paris was one of my favorite characters from the show. Her confidence and competitive nature may have been too much at times, but she pushed Rory to be the best she could be. When Lorelei and Luke are waiting in the hallway and we hear her firing someone behind closed doors, all I could think was that some people never change.
2. From "Winter" when Logan first appears

3. From "Winter" when Luke gives out different wifi passwords to everyone
It's no surprise that Luke doesn't like that his diner is used to sip coffee and check e-mail, so to combat that, he gives out fake wifi passwords to everyone who asks. Classic Luke.
4. From "Winter" when Paul appears
Rory's boyfriend, Paul, is basically the punch line of the first episode. Even though Rory and Paul had been together for 2 years, no one seems to remember him, not even Rory herself! His existence throughout the series is just hilarious.
5. From "Winter" when Emily is in jeans
I saw it in the trailer, but seeing the always proper Emily Gilmore in jeans and a Candie's t-shirt was a sight I thought I'd never see.
6. From "Spring" when Mr. Kim appears
Yes, you read that right. I didn't forget an s. Finally, after 16 years, we actually see Lane's dad. No matter that he missed his only daughter's wedding or the birth of his two grandsons. He was probably just traveling or visiting family, right?
7. From "Spring" when the town not so subtly asks Taylor if he's gay
During the town meeting, Taylor is complaining that there aren't enough gay people in Stars Hallow to walk in the gay pride parade, and Gypsy asks if he is completely sure that there's no one else who could walk in it. Taylor, clueless as always, shakes his head no.
8. From "Spring" when Marty is wearing
"a film by Kirk" shirt
Kirk makes a sequel, and it's almost as good as the original. It's the little things, really.
9. From "Spring" when Lorelei fires Rachel Ray
While looking for a new chef in the absence of Sookie, Rachel Ray is only one of the chefs unable to fill the clumsy chef's shoes. Poor Rachel.
10. From "Spring" when Logan answers Rory's phone call in the middle of the night and calls her Ace
Disclaimer: I'm #teamLogan all the way. And when he uses that old nickname, we can clearly see that he's still in love with her and would do anything that she needs him to do.
11. From "Summer" when Jess comes back and gives Rory her idea for the book
Ah yes, Jess. He always was there when Rory needed a little inspiration or pick-me-up. He's got that Dane's blood, always helping out a Gilmore girl in need.
12. From "Summer" when Lorelei has her epiphany during the musical
I wasn't a fan of the super long musical scenes, they seemed to just fill time that could've been better spent elsewhere. But during the new song there's a spotlight on Lorelei and she realizes how lost she actually is, which has been building since the first episode. Lauren Graham and I teared up at the same time.
13. From "Fall" when Lorelei is trying to pack everything in her giant backpack and realizes that she forgot to pack a pan
That was actual footage of me packing for vacation.
14. From "Fall" when the Life and Death Brigade was compared to "The Wizard of Oz"
I'm a sucker for a cheesy "Wizard of Oz" reference, and the fantastic nature of the Life and Death brigade seemed like a perfect place to do it. Colin, Fin and Robert are the scarecrow, lion and tin man.
15. From "Fall" when Lorelei realizes everything
Don't even get me started on that vista shot with Lorelei. I blubbered like a baby. When she pulls out her phone, calls her mom and tells us the story about her dad that we've been waiting for, I lost it. I actually had to pause the show, go get some tissue and take a long break before I continued watching. This is the vital reconciliation between Emily and Lorelei I've been waiting for.
16. From "Fall" when Paul Anka puts his foot on Luke's leg
As a dog-lover, Paul Anka is the cutest one on the show. And seeing Luke soften up to that crazy dog is just too sweet, *sigh*.
17. From "Fall" when Luke and Lorelei finally get everything worked out
Finally. I've been waiting sixteen years for those two.
18. From "Fall" when Emily screams "bullshit" at the DAR meeting
Emily went on a full-on rampage, and it made me love her even more.
19. From "Fall" when Rory runs into Dean
Dean has turned into a guy I can root for. After trying to hold Rory back, getting married too young, having an affair with Rory and then breaking up with her (yet again) Dean has seemed to have gotten his life together. He's now married with three kids and one on the way. He and Rory catch up like old pals, and it's great to see that at least one of Rory's old boyfriends isn't still pining for her. Go Dean!
20. From "Fall" when Michel and Sookie have a classic fight
There were lots of things to love about Sookie, but the bickering matches between her and Michel were no doubt my favorite. I missed Melissa McCartney throughout the show, but that scene helped a little.
21. From "Fall" when we find out Jess is still in love with Rory
Not that we ever had any doubts. But that look, I would kill to have Milo Ventimiglia look at me like that.
22. From "Fall" when we find out the last four words
I don't know if I can say that this was one of my favorite scenes, but it was definitely memorable. I was confused, hurt, and swearing like a sailor. After I calmed down and watched it four more times to be sure that I heard Rory right, I realized that it all made sense. Of course. Rory is Lorelei. They have the same taste in music and food and men, it wouldn't be right if she didn't end up pregnant by a man she can't be with. Oh Amy, you sure know how to bring a show full-circle.
