We had the typical brother-sister relationship. We would pick fights with each other, physically and verbally. However, as I am in college and you are serving our country in the U.S Army, I appreciate you more than I could ever imagine. And with Thanksgiving this month, I wanted to express how thankful I am to have you. So with that, here are some things I sometimes forget to express to you Nik, but I never will never forget to remember:
1. I do not know what I would do without you.
2. I love having you as my older brother, and I love being one of your little sisters.
3. Thanks for always picking on me. It helped me toughen up if other males, or anyone in general desired to pick on me.
4. Thanks for locking me in a closet once. I now know I do not do well in little spaces.
5. You introduced me to some of my greatest loves, books, "Full House," "Harry Potter," and Kanye West.
6. You always assure me that everything will be OK.
7. You always have my back, even when I do not realize it sometimes. So thank you.
8. Thank you for putting up with my little sister shenanigans back in the day...and possibly my future shenanigans to come.
9. Even though you were an accident, you are the best accident to happen to our family.
10. I am glad you have always been brutally honest with me, even though I hate to admit it.
11. You can always count on me to be there for you.
12. Thanks for letting me play with you and your Army toys, even though you always made me be the ugly tan plastic Army men and not the nice green Army men.
13. I apologize for not helping you pick up those Army toys because I was mad that I was the ugly tan Army men.
14. Thank you for always beating the hard levels on our video games for me.
15. You keep me humble. I know if I become a big star one day, you will be the first one to set me straight.
16. You are so smart. I do not understand how you make schooling look so effortless.
