There is something about Washington State University that makes it the center of the universe. For those who go to WSU, we understand. For those who don't, you don't know what you are missing. The experiences that happen at WSU are the moments that you will remember for the rest of your life. I've compiled a list of things that all Cougs can relate to.
1.You always get that butterfly feeling when you drive onto campus. I can't help but smile and get jittery.
2. You rally for Cougar football Saturday no matter what time the game is. Remember that 11:00 game?
3. Instead of going home to sulk after an exam, you go to The Coug.
4. You yell, "Go, Cougs," at anyone wearing Coug gear...or Husky gear.
5. Your parents get more crazy than you do on dads/moms weekend. You may or may not find them dancing in the cages at Mike's or on top of other raised surfaces.
6. You can shotgun in Olympic qualifying speed.
7. Win or lose, Cougs still booze.
8. Dominos. That's all there is to say about this one.
9. You drop an entire pizza on the ground and continue to eat it anyway.
10. Thirsty Thursday is a no-brainer and the start of the weekend.
11. When you face the challenge of going on two date dashes in one night, or two formals.
12. Snapchatting the "Go, Cougs," barn every time you drive by it.
13. Showing up to your 8:00 a.m. class, or even your 10:00 a.m. class, still feeling the effects from the night before.
14. You call Pullman the “Promised Land."
15. You ask everyone you know how to get asked on Monopoly, any camp trip, Canada Trip, or any of the other infamous date dashes.
16. Every time that you see something Coug related, you point it out to everyone you are with.
17. Going to the dunes is a must during the warm seasons, even if you might not remember being there.
18. Not having to participate on leg day because of "Cougar calves."
19. You’ve fallen during the winter months in front of more people than you can count, but it's okay because it happens to everyone.
20. Wearing your outfit from the night before to class the next day.
21. And lastly, you sit at home during break fantasizing about your return to Pullman.
Pullman is more than a town in the middle of nowhere. It's a place where your dreams come true. It's a place where you meet an abundant amount of friends who you could never dream of replacing. No matter what anyone says or believes, I will always be proud to be a Coug.
