21 Things All Students At Stevenson Know To Be True

1. Parking Sucks. Period.

It sucks having to park in guam because you can never find a good parking spot.

2. Not having access to all of the buildings is torture.

I just want to cut through Western Run to get to Susquehanna, is that too much to ask?

3. Rockland has the same food every day.

I get tired of having apple jacks every meal of every day because I do not like their mystery meat.

4. The only time the food is prime is when there is an open house.

They literally have fine dining when they try to show the upcoming freshman the dining hall. I am okay with that though.

5. You have to ride the shuttle because you cannot park at north.

Sometimes makes me wish I was a commuter...

6. Pandini's pizzas take forever.

It is miserable being hangry and waiting for a pizza....

7. The back doors lock at 8 PM because Stevenson hates us.

This causes a much longer walk to get to my dorm. All I want to do is get to my bed.

8. You have to go off campus for a good party.

Uber is our best friend.

9. Everyone knows everyone. It's like being in highschool.

You can't walk anywhere without having to see someone you know or saying hi. Way too much work.

10. The wifi sucks 200% of the time.

Literally had to get unlimited data because of this.

11. Greenspring is the D.U.F.F. of the 3 campuses.

It is just so far away... the left out friend of the group.

12. The rooms are either too hot or too cold. No in between.

That is our fault but I feel like there is no happy medium.

13. You will run out of flex in two weeks.

We definitely need more than $75 flex dollars.

14. It is tough trying to find an empty classroom in the school of business.

It is almost like the school does not want us to study...

15. The hallways always smell like the devils lettuce.

Anybody ever heard of going to their car or air fresheners?

16. The quad is crowded once it hits the 75 degree mark.

Usually there is that one person who is playing music while people are trying to study in the quad. It is really okay though.

17. Chasing the geese is your exercise for the day.

There are at least fifty geese that roam the campus, so why not chase them for fun?

18. The Greenspring food is so much better.

The Mustang Grill is pretty bangin.

19. It is tough to find a good time where at least one of the washers and dryers are open.

Removing peoples clothes out of the washer and dryer for them is way too common on this campus.

20. There are so many unnecessary stop signs on campus.

I know it is because there are crosswalks but I don't feel like stopping 20 times.

21. The bridge to north will never open.

Lets be real, they are probably just lying to us about the bridge. Does it even exist?

Do not get me wrong, Stevenson is the perfect school for many of us. It does have it's flaws as many college campuses do. It is our job as students to complain about every single one of them though.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
