21 Stages Of Finals Week, As Told By "Gilmore Girls"

As finals approach and we all get into our rush of studying, all of a sudden the desire to spend the day binge watching shows on Netflix increases exponentially because we know just how much we have to do and how painful it will be. When I study for finals, all I want to do is watch "Gilmore Girls" instead because Rory and Lorelai just get it.

1. When you organize your notes and realize just how much you have to do.

2. When you realize that a full night's sleep is a lost cause.

3. When you force your eyes to stay open at 2 a.m. as you review your notes one last time.

4. When you ward off calls from your mom because she is telling you to take care of yourself.

5. When no one seems to understand that you just want them to leave you alone so you can cry and study and cry some more.

6. When you order more takeout than a human should eat because you need the brain fuel.

7. When you are so stressed that you find yourself crying for no reason at all.

8. When the professor tells you there will be a study guide and there is no study guide.

9. When you call all your friends in your class and beg them to share their study guide.

10. When you tell yourself that you are going to ace the final but you don't believe it.

11. When someone tries to give you a pep talk and tells you that you are pretty even though you haven't showered in three days.

12. When you write an entire paper the night before and you can't even remember what it was on.

13. When your friends try to hang out while you are studying.

14. When someone brings you coffee so you don't have to give up your library table.

15. When you think about how interesting your life used to be before the finals monster.

16. When you think you've come to a brilliant revelation halfway through an all-nighter.

17. When you seriously consider dropping out and pursuing a career as a stripper.

18. When you finally go in to take your final.

19. When you walk out of your final.

20. When you hold a funeral for your GPA.

21. When your friends convince you to drown your sorrows in ice cream.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
