It's all of the songs we grew up listening to. You could bang your head and you felt like the world understood you for a brief moment.

1. The Middle: Jimmy Eat World

If you couldn't play this song on expert mode in Guitar Hero, you probably considered yourself a failure.

2. Stacy's Mom: Fountains of Wayne

Your younger self was probably thinking who the hell is Stacy's Mom and why are we so obsessed with her? I dunno, we just kept jammin'.

3. What's My Age Again: blink-182

Blink 182 made YOLO a thing before it was even a thing.

4. Ocean Avenue: Yellowcard

And you already know that violin solo was a head banger.

5. 1985: Bowling for Soup

This song convinced me I was born in the wrong decade.

6. Sugar, We're Going Down: Fall Out Boy

Even though you couldn't understand a word of the chorus, you pretended and then became even more confused when you looked up the lyrics. What's a "loaded god complex," anyway?

7. Welcome to the Black Parade: My Chemical Romance

MCR scared the crap out of you, but you willingly joined the dark side.

8. I Write Sins Not Tragedies: Panic! At the Disco

Another song you failed to interpret the meaning of on the first listen. Eventually, you memorized it and your favourite lines were probably, "Haven't you people ever heard of closing the goddamn door?" and "What a shame the poor groom's bride is a whore."

9. Dirty Little Secret: The All-American Rejects

The song you always wanted to be about you.

10. Dear Maria, Count Me In: All Time Low

All Time Low just had a way of speaking to you and their long died hair made you feel some type of way.

11. All the Small Things: blink-182

Essentially in every movie, you loved watching. blink-182 was just your go to cute bad boy band.

12. Check Yes, Juliet: We the Kings

The song your parents got tired of hearing but it made you feel like somebody understood you in a world where you were just misunderstood.

13. I'm Just a Kid: Simple Plan

The title says it all. You felt like the world was against you and all of the words in this song were everything you were feeling.

14. Move Along: The All-American Rejects

The best post-breakup song you could have asked for.

15. My Friends Over You: New Found Glory

NFG said it first, friends before anything!

16. Welcome to My Life: Simple Plan

Another great example of feeling like there was only one group who understood you like no other.

17. Misery Business: Paramore

Really, if we are being honest, anything Paramore made you draw on the eyeliner thicker and bang your head.

18. Beverly Hills: Weezer

You just wanted to move to Beverly Hills after this one.

19. First Date: blink-182

Subsequently, you listened to this one before going on your first date to help get rid of those jitters.

20. Jamie All Over: Mayday Parade

With their wonderful soft ballads to their emotional songs, you knew Mayday Parade was a group you would never forget.

21. In Too Deep: Sum 41

This song was just one that reminded you to try and stay afloat and rock out at the same time.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
