From the best times to the worst, your go to person, the person you trust the most. There is nothing that beats having your old man as your best friend. A best friend understands you, who always is there to defend you and give you the benefit of the doubt. Many of us are lucky to call that person our dad. There is not a force in the world that can break the everlasting bond between a girl and her father.

1. He preferred to lose sleep so he could pick you up from parties in the middle of the night.

2. He never fails to remind you that he is always there.

3. You already know his drink and possible food order when you go out.

4. You always have someone who you can vent to and someone who will understand.

5. He is one of the people you have known for the longest.

6. He takes your side no matter what.

7. The two of you are very similar and share quite a few hobbies and interests.

8. You have been there for each other during the worst and best times.

9. You know how to push each others' buttons.

10. You can name his favorite genre of music and TV shows.

11. Your not afraid to converse about your flaws with one another.

12. You share similar values and goals.

13. The two of you rarely fight, and when you do, it's usually over something stupid.

14. You can be perfectly content hanging out around each other not saying one word.

15. He comes to your college nearly three times a year to either visit, help load or unload furniture, along with being a guest speaker for one of your lecture classes.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
