The Shiba Inu is a dog breed from Japan that was traditionally used for hunting, especially in mountainous areas. The breed is very intelligent and loving, but most only know of this breed because of the doge meme that became popular in 2013.

Since the internet discovered this meme, Shiba Inus have been running rampant across all forms of social media. They have shown to be a very interesting breed, especially when it comes to each dog's personality. They are independent, loving, but most of all, each Shiba Inu seems to have many quirks and eccentricities that come along with the soft coat and cute ears. Below are some pictures that show just how weird (and cute) Shibas can be:

1. This Shiba knows you need to dress for the job you want.

2. He takes over for his owner on his lunch break.

3. Bonjour, Je suis Shiba.

4. This Shiba isn't ready to leave his binkie and blankie behind just yet.

5. These Shibas are going to have a LOT of sand in their fur.

6. He is just trying (and failing) to break into newscasting.

7. He needs to take lessons from Mikho, who sits like a human semi-professionally.

8. They are also the kings and queens of inventive sleeping positions whether that be sleeping in the smallest possible place.

9. Or like this.

10. Or like this.

11. But this is clearly the most comfortable.

12. They also have a flair for fashion.

13. They can even pull off glasses.

14. This Shiba looks wicked comfy.

15. Even when they are bratty, they have a, most literally, funny way of showing it.

16. When they get themselves into trouble, they still find odd ways of doing so.

17. But as soon as you are even a little bit late coming home from work, they will give you major sass.

18. But they certainly know how to make their own fun, by riding a tortoise perhaps.

19. Or dancing with their favorite toy.

20. Or by making some groovy music.

21. But even when they are hopelessly stuck in a bush, they are still all smiles.

With all the quirks, sass and outfits Shiba Inus are undoubtedly the most interesting dog breed at this time, and they are too cute to resist!

P.S. If this spurred a need for a dog in your life, please adopt!

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
