I am 100% not someone to normally write the same content as everyone else, but I did feel that after 21 trips around the sun I have learned some things. Some of these are blatantly obvious and cliché but they are genuine lessons and they need to be recalled every once in a while.

I hope you can learn something from the lessons it has taken me far too long to learn.

1. You are not going to be the person you thought you would be. Not at all.

2. People who feel the need to put you down are likely miserable people themselves!

3. Love will find you, so no need to search high and low for it.

4. The first person who you fell head over heels for is NOT necessarily the person you'll marry. Let that one go.

5. Family is not always defined by blood, sometimes the best family is those you chose.

6. Animals can pretty much solve any heartbreak you're experiencing. Trust me on this.

7. You will change your major a couple of times… if you're me you'll change colleges 3x

8. Sometimes one good deep breath is the difference between a tragic choice or a good life.

9. Travel while you can. You have more energy to do crazy things in crazy places when you're young.

10. Misunderstandings happen. Figure it out.

11. You may not see eye to eye with people about things and that's okay.

12. SPEAK UP FOR WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN. PLEASE

13. Do not miss out on anything just for fear of being judged.

14. You'll be much happier if you just let go of expectations

15. Those grumpy old people are likely super lonely so don't mind them.

16. Music can make you feel more understood than you thought possible

17. Branch out and stick with things for AT LEAST a few months. (you may like it!!) *shocker I know

18. You are not crazy for thinking outside of that perfect little box, you may be the next big thing for being unique.

19. If it gives you the creeps, there IS a reason.

20. Boys suck sometimes. They may not be mature men yet so they are gonna need time.

21. Live like you have nothing to lose.

REMEMBER: This is your life not anyone else's so don't have regrets because you spent your life trying to make everyone else happy.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
