21 Famous Music Lyrics

The world we live in is so stuck in particular ways that most forget, and some are even unaware, of the beauty of the past. One particular interest of mine revolves around music and the ideas and advice we can get from simply flooding our ears with the melodies. There are so many extremely famous singers and musicians, that not only wrote their own music, but believed it as well. Being able to step out of this crazy reality that we live in and appreciate the past is a truly incredible way to keep yourself grounded. These are some of the best music lyrics throughout the years.

"Love when you can, cry when you have to, be who you must, that's a part of the plan. Await your arrival with simple survival, and one day we'll all understand."

Dan Fogelberg, Part Of the Plan

"You shake my nerves and you rattle my brain, too much love drives a man insane. You broke my will, but what a thrill. Goodness gracious, great balls of fire."

Jerry Lee Lewis, Great Balls Of Fire

"If I leave here tomorrow, would you still remember me?"

Lynyrd Skynyrd, Free Bird

"You're dangerous cause you're honest, you're dangerous cause you don't know what you want."

U2, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses

"Talk about your plenty, talk about your ills, one man gathers what another man spills."

Grateful Dead, St. Stephen

"I'm in love with the world through the eyes of a girl, who's still around the morning after. We broke up a month ago, and I grew up-but didn't know I'd be around the morning after."

Elliott Smith, Say Yes

"Take your flame, ignite the world."

For Today, Seraphim

"We are all human, it's time to prove it."

Anti-Flag, 911 For Peace

"If we weren't all crazy we would go insane."

Jimmy Buffett, Changes In Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes

"In dreams, I'll promise you'll never be alone, how much I wish your voice could send me home."

Misery Signals, Ebb And Flow

"Thinking is the best way to travel."

The Moody Blues, The Best Way To Travel

"I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now."

Bob Dylan and The Byrds, My Back Pages

"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice."

Rush, Freewill

"Even the genius asks questions."

2 Pac, Me Against The World

"Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself."

Bo Diddley, Creedance Clearwater Revival and Eric Clapton, Before You Accuse Me

"An honest man's pillow is his peace of mind."

John Cougar Mellencamp, Minutes To Memories

"Well I've been afraid of changing 'cause I've built my life around you, but time makes you bolder, even children get older, and I'm getting older too."

Fleetwood Mac, Landslide

"All of us get lost in the darkness, dreamers learn to steer by the starts."

Rush, The Pass

"Don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to."

Fleetwood Mac, Oh Well

"Freedom, well, that's just some people talking. Your prison is walking through this world all alone."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
