For the past several decades, our world has turned to comedic relief for some of the most serious and tragic moments in history. This year more than ever, Instagram meme accounts and satirical Twitter personalities have taken off.

I never thought I would be the kind of person to be in a long distance relationship. I always though that it was selfish to be with someone when you can't really BE with them.
