Goodbye 2016 and hello 2017.

Let’s be honest, 2016 wasn’t our year. It was nothing but disaster after disaster and maybe Kylie was right: 2016 was the year of realizing things.

Dear 2016,

You were not very nice, but it’s okay because I was able to see the real people in my life. You have shown me that no matter what obstacle is being presented in my life, I can overcome them. I learned that loving yourself is more important than anything else. I had the chance to meet new, beautiful people in my life. To the individuals who have left my life, I thank you because it’s like the trash took it self out. One of the most important lessons I learned was that it’s okay to fail. No one is perfect and we all make mistakes, but dwelling on the negative is not going to help you either. Being positive, on the other hand, will give you a new outlook on life. Besides, life is better when you surround yourself with positive vibes. Don’t let people who don’t believe in you tell you that you won’t make it. Proving them wrong is the best revenge you can give them. I give thanks to 2016 for making me into a stronger women and for that I’m forever grateful. I’m excited for what 2017 has in store for me and what ever it is, I’m ready to take it like a champ.

2016 is long gone and it may have had some bittersweet memories, but the good news is you can replace those bad memories with new memories in 2017. I wish you nothing but happiness, love and health in 2017.

Good luck.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

An open letter to the good-hearted people.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
