2016 Doesn't Suck (At Least The Music Doesn't)

2016 has just begun, and already there has been some amazing music releases. I am always excited to see what direction the music industry takes each year, and I feel that 2016 is going to be a really exciting year for music. There is a lot to look forward with the much anticipated releases from Rihanna, Macklemore, and Kanye. Below you will find my top picks of the year so far. Be sure to comment if there are any you think I have missed!

1. "Something For Nothing" - Rationale

I love Rationale, and they are one of my favorite groups. This song is a fantastic addition to their recently released singles.

2. "Reaper" - Sia

Written for Rihanna, produced by Kanye, perfected by SIA.

3. "Three Packs A Day" - Courtney Barnett

Courtney Barnett is up for a Grammy, and while a surprising choice for a Grammy nominee, Ms. Barnett makes some great music.

4. "All The Ways" - Wet

Her voice is perfect, the lyrics are hot, and I am in love.

5. "Lazarus" - David Bowie

David Bowie left behind a legacy of fantastic music, and his latest album is no different.

6. "Throw Down Your Guns" - Wild Belle

I am absolutely loving this new sound that Wild Belle is producing.

7. "Absolutely" - Ra Ra Riot

This is the PERFECT song for the 2016. “This is the year of absolutely."

8. "Gold Dust" - Banners

Banners is set to be a breakout band of 2016.

9. "Afternoon" - Tender

This is a new band for me, but I am really into their sensual beats. I also love a song with snapping. 10/10 would recommend.

10. "Kiss The Sky" - The Knocks

There isn't a video for this song yet, so be sure to check out the Spotify playlist, and enjoy another great video by The Knocks below! Their music is fun and upbeat, perfect for any occasion.
