On Sunday, May 22, 2016, ABC Network will air the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. Every year, the most qualified artists in music will come together to receive various awards for their musical efforts. Awards including Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Hot 100 Song, and Top Artist will be given out. Other special notables will be given as well, including the Billboard Millennium Award, which was just announced that will be given to Britney Spears.

Along with the awards, chosen music artists will also perform live. For Sunday’s show, performers including Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, and DNCE will take the stage live in ABC.

Here are a few of the awards given out for this year’s Billboard Music Awards and my predictions on who will take home each award.

Keep in mind: The awards are based on the reporting period of tracking dates March 23, 2015 through March 17, 2016 and Billboard chart dates April 11, 2015 through April 2, 2016. Since 1940, the Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking the popularity of songs and albums, and are the ultimate measure of a musician’s success.

Top Billboard 200 Album:

Adele, "25"

Justin Bieber, "Purpose"

Ed Sheeran, "x"

Taylor Swift, "1989"

The Weeknd, "Beauty Behind The Madness"

Sorry, Taylor Swift but I’m almost positive Adele has this award in the bag."25" has proven to be not only the album of the year, but perhaps the album of the decade. "25" has sold over 19 million copies worldwide – almost nine million copies sold in the United States alone.

Top Billboard 200 Artist:

Adele

Justin Bieber

Drake

Taylor Swift

The Weeknd

Based on the Billboard 200 chart, which is the official albums chart, I predict Adele to take this award home as well. Although Taylor Swift’s 2014 album "1989" was the highest-selling album of 2015, Adele’s "25" has proven to the album to beat.

Top Male Artist:

Justin Bieber

Drake

Fetty Wap

Ed Sheeran

The Weeknd

As far as Top Male Artist is concerned, Justin Bieber had one hell of a year with music. His album "Purpose" has sold over three million copies worldwide including three massively successful number one singles “What Do You Mean,” “Sorry,” and “Love Yourself” – all of which were huge successes on Pop Radio. It’s no question that Bieber’s comeback will be celebrated.

Top Female Artist:

Adele

Selena Gomez

Ariana Grande

Rihanna

Taylor Swift

This is a tough call, which is why I have chosen either Adele or Rihanna. Of course, Adele’s successful album "25" and #1 single “Hello” may be enough to give her the award, I think Rihanna may give her a run for her money. Rihanna’s highly anticipated album "ANTI" has been certified platinum and has spawned the #1 single “Work” featuring Drake, which was #1 for a total of nine weeks and became her 14th number one single, as well as the newest Top 10 single “Needed Me.” In my opinion, either one of these ladies will take this award home.

Top Artist:

Adele

Justin Bieber

Drake

Taylor Swift

The Weeknd

It may seem like this list is all about Adele, but it’s only because she has had the most insanely successful year we have seen in years. The album itself is enough to give her every single award she is nominated for. Of course, the other nominees also had great years in music, but with the world’s obsession with Adele, I think she will be the winner of Top Artist.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
