This year the 2015 Tribeca Film Festival, as always, will be held in New York City on April 15th - 26th. If you don't know what this fantastic festival is then you truly haven't lived until you've gone. It's an extravagant movie experience filled with famous people, good food, and the best movies out there in one of the best cities in the world. Still not convinced that Tribeca is the ultimate movie festival then here's a little more insight into it!

The History. Tribeca started in 2003 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff. Their goal was to create a company and organization where unique independent film artists could present their work to the film and media community. People all around the world now submit their projects or artwork to the company in hopes of having it shown for all to see. It is also an event held for the appreciation and power of movies, in all genres. It truly is such an incredible establishment that welcomes opportunities to skilled individuals interested in the arts.

The Movies. Tribeca has been going on for 12 years and each year is better than the last. The movies are crazy good and there's such a variety of them. From actions to "transmedia", there a lot of different options to choose from. 27 to be exact! Not only are there movies though, there are sketches done by comedians and activists. There's great food provided by some of the best food trucks in the game. (Once you try a Ramen burger you will go to burger heaven). AND there's music! So I guess you could say movie night with the fam or date night with the bae wouldn't be a let down.

The Awards. Obviously people need to be recognized somehow for their accomplishments. So what do they get? Well awards duuuhh! Pretty much the whole basis for Tribeca is to award these talented human beings with an award for best food film or best actor in a Drama film. Oh yeah...did I mention there were famous people at this thing?

Actors, Actresses, Musicians, Artists! So many celebrities show up to the Tribeca Film Festival. One of the biggest reasons being that they are, in fact, in some of the movies being shown. If you ever have the pleasure of going to NYC for this event you'll most definitely bump into a couple famous homies.

*And if one of you bump into my pal Tom Hanks, tell him Jasmine Stith from The Odyssey says "Wassup T.Hanks!"

The City Life. The Tribeca Film Festival is located in the heart of Lower Manhattan in the Big Apple. NEW YORK CITY. That's a big deal! There is so much to do in the NYC when you're not even at Tribeca. Get some advice from a "local" (like myself) on the best places to go in the city and you'll have one of the greatest vacations ever. You got Time Square, Tourist Capital! Broadway, Central Park (the zoo Hello!), Chelsea Piers, The Highline!

*The Highline is my favorite spot in the city. Its absolutely beautiful and below is Chelsea Market with the best place to eat; Ronnybrook Farm Dairy!*

Needless to say, the location and the food, and the arts! This festival is surely one for the books and if you're thinking of somewhere to go for a quick vacay, why not NYC for the Tribeca Film Festival. You will 1000% not be disappointed!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
