I'm going to start off with this: I am in no way a high couture fashionista. I'm just your average broke college student who's slightly obsessed with clothes. That being said, I probably won't be getting an invite to Fashion Week any time soon. These are just a few of the trends we've seen around this past year that I think need a second look.
1. The half-bun

2. Extremely flared jeans
I’m a big fan of bringing back trends from the past; I love rocking my leg warmers over my leggings paired with my high top Chucks. It makes me feel like Baby, ya know? But the 70’s jeans need to stay on Donna and Jackie where they belong.
3. The furry vest
Specifically during this monumental cinematic time in our lives, you can't be surprised if you get a Chewbacca call in the street. I’m warning you now.
4. Thigh-high boots
A conservative, mid-knee length riding boot is always a good option, even if you have to deal with the “where’s your horse?” comments. Wearing a boot that goes all the way your thigh? You could just mummy-wrap electrical tape all the way up your body and give off the same effect.
5. Crop tops with low-rise jeans
I’m sure, like myself, you might be confused by this one. Most importantly, why this is even still a thing in 2015. You can have the most rockin’ Jillian Michaels abs and still not be able to pull this one off…let’s just let it go peacefully.
These are just a couple trends I'm sure we've all noticed this past year. Maybe 2016 will be the lucky year when we can finally say goodbye to Birkensocks!
