If you grew up with brothers, you can't even try to deny the truth that is to follow. And if you didn't, consider yourself (un)lucky.

1. You know for a fact that girl's definitely DON'T take the longest time to get ready.

2. You don't freak out about talking to guys because you've trained for this your entire life.

3. When your brother brings home a new girl, you don't judge her because you're petty, but because she could be your actual sister one day.

4. All of the sweatshirts, sweatpants, and t-shirts you've stolen from them are 10x more comfy than your own.

5. And they're willing to fight to the death to get them back (or just tell your mom).

6. You sometimes wish you had a sister.

7. And then you realize you escaped an over emotional, tear filled, drama riddled childhood and you're perfectly okay with that.

8. You still watch TV and say "that's you" when the villain/nerd/annoying character comes on screen.

9. You can't introduce yourself to a cute guy without getting the "Oh, are you ________'s sister?" response.

10. Now that you're older, there's an unspoken rule that "if you don't show Mom, I won't show Mom".

11. You still get flashbacks of sprinting to the shower in fear your brother would make it in there before you.

12. You're not even phased by your boyfriend's weird habits because you've been desensitized (aka watched your brothers eat spoonfuls of ketchup and pick ticks off of each other like monkeys).

13. Attempts at finding the adult version of the feeling of awe you got while watching your sibling say something rude or snappy to your parents prove unsuccessful... because nothing quite compares to the power of Mom & Dad compelling them into next week.

14. You still get the urge to run up and block the cable box (or even turn of the TV entirely) when someone doesn't want to watch the same thing as you.

15. You can't eat a real meal with them because they inhale their food as if they were a real life vacuum cleaner.

16. Getting the constant reminder that 14 years ago you pushed the other into the entertainment center and he had to go to the emergency room because he split is head open and somehow after 14 years of hearing about it you're supposed to still feel bad.

17. Taking pride in how nice and girly you smell now because from ages 3-12 you smelled like dirt and sweat from running around with the animals you call brothers.

18. Still experiencing that twisted kind of sibling telepathy when at awkward family events.

19. You still give each other a hard time for literally everything. Good grades, new sports, the people they call "friends"-- you name it.

20. Somehow, after all this time, everything still remains a competition.

Being the only girl may consist of way too many sporting events and not much alone time, but having brothers is one of the coolest things and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
