Sometimes TV shows are more relatable than most of us would like to admit. My favorite show to relate to life is Parks and Recreation because when are the quotes not relatable? Here are a few times Parks and Rec quotes perfectly tie in to life as a college student.

1. When everyone starts complaining about stupid drama and you just want to scream at them

2. When you ask a professor to round up your grade and they reply something like this

3. When the one person in your class that's never right, but always thinks they are, says they're really good in school

4. When your friends know you finally have money and all the advice they give you is

5. When you try to convince your friends that you're totally okay with being alone

6. When you try to drag your friends to the gym with you so you're not alone, and they reply with

7. When anyone asks you how your semester is going

8. The one kid who is actually a genius and loves to say

9. Every time the professor, who answers their own questions, asks a question in class, every kid wants to know

10. When someone tries to take your food

11. The many times a professor has to repeat themselves because there's always the kid saying

12. The one thing that's constantly running through every college students mind

13. When one of your friends finally finds someone to make out with and they call you to tell you

14. Every time midterms or finals come around, this is heard everywhere on campus

15. When you get mad because your friend is getting too pushy trying to make sure that you're okay and they scream

16. A constant thing to be said at any point in your college career

17. When you realize you don't want to go out anywhere because

18. Every time someone tries to get you to join a club you don't want to join

19. Heard at every social event the college holds

20. And whenever you have to do anything by yourself, you're reminded that

So sometimes college is hard. Thankfully, Parks and Rec can perfectly describe your situation and your feelings towards every possible event in college.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
