20 Times 'Parks And Recreation' Accurately Described College Life

Let's all be honest with ourselves, college is hard. It's like a whirlwind of fear, nerves, and excitement all rolled into one. And, as college students, there are things that everyone has experienced at least once. Whether it's forgetting to do your assignment due at midnight or making yourself look foolish, we've all been there. If you say you haven't experienced them, you're either lying or very lucky.

1. When the professor goes from an introduction to chapter 1 notes on the first day.

It's like the professor knows exactly how to simultaneously torture every student in the room.

2. When you ask your friend to go out on a Thursday night.

I know I have a chemistry exam tomorrow, but I REALLY want to.

3. When you answer a question right in class and your TA tells you "Nice job!"

Sure, the question may not have been rocket science, but it's the effort that counts.

4. When your 8 a.m. class gets cancelled.

Two extra hours of sleep is practically unheard of!

5. When you try to talk to the cute boy in your class and make a fool of yourself.

The conversation went nowhere near the way it was supposed to go when you planned it out in your head.

6. When your friend asks if you want to take a break from studying to get Starbucks.

You don't have to ask me twice, I am always down for a Starbucks run.

7. When you check your grades after midterms.

Could your professor not bump your grade from a 43 to an 85? So selfish.

8. When you're so tired, you can nap anywhere.

Sleep is necessary wherever and whenever you can get it.

9. When your parents send you money.

I'm not saying I spent all my money on food and coffee, but I'm also not denying that's what I spent it on.

10. When you get sick for the first time.

All I need is NyQuil and my mom. Please don't talk to me until I have them.

11. When you're the mom of your friend group for the night and everyone keeps thanking you.

I will take one for the team this weekend, but I'm going to be the wild one next weekend .

12. When you have something due at 11:59 p.m. but you keep finding ways to procrastinate.

It is extremely important that I watch this 22-minute video about using your arms as knitting needles to make a blanket right now, even though I have no idea how to knit.

13. When you get an A on an exam.

Has this actually happened to anyone? Let me know.

14. When the most annoying person in class makes a joke.

Okay, it was a little funny, but the 52 annoying comments you made before this really made me hate you a little bit.

15. When you go to office hours and your professor isn't there.

Why have office hours if you aren't going to be there for them? Does that make zero sense to anyone but me?

16. When you and your friends get together after a long week.

FINALLY, some time to take a group nap.

17. When you and your roomie are thriving in your classes.

You both went to every single one this week. Where's your medal?

18. When you have to walk through a campus tour.

Why do seniors in high school seem so young all of the sudden?

19. When people ask you if you ever even go to class.

Please, don't call me out like this. It's so early.

20. When you go home and finally get to eat food that isn't Ramen or Easy Mac.

Food is just better when your mom makes it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
