Going home makes people so excited. After all, the holiday season is the favorite season for so many people. Home is a place of laughter, tears, memories, and love with all the people that made you the person you are today. Being home for break is never boring.
- FOOD. I don’t have to go grocery shopping. I don’t have to make my own meals. I don’t have to use meal points. Thank you, parents!!!
- Thank God for my bed. This king bed feels like a black hole in comparison to my twin bed.
- Wow, I missed my family. Ugh, my people. They love me regardless of what I look like.
- Shower. Wow showering without shower shoes? Wait, I don’t see the mold my apartment has? It smells like bleach and vanilla. I don’t have to pay for hot water. Why do I ever leave?
- Mom, you are really going to do my laundry? Wow, this woman is a saint. I just saved a lot of quarters.
- This house is crazy. I wonder if other families are like this. If we had a TV show it definitely would be a larger hit than the Kardashians.
- Home friends. Wow, okay you have changed. I have missed all of you so much. I forget how entertaining all of your lives are.
- Ugh relaxation. Sorry parents, the break is too short to say I can work. I am just going to lie here…and relax…all day long. I think I will delete ANGEL from my history so I don’t have to think about school.
- Stop asking if I have a relationship. Okay, grandma we get it, you and grandpa got married at this time in my life. I wish I had a relationship as much as you wish I had a relationship, I promise.
- Why do people think the front door is a revolving door? Seriously, does no one understand the concept of privacy? We probably should stop hiding the spare key in that spot, too many people know where it is hidden.
- I am so lucky. I cannot imagine my life being anything else. I hope when friend’s come to visit they can handle it.
- Siblings, chill. Wow, I really missed all of you. However, I feel as if you only have missed my car and my ability to drive you places our parents disapprove of.
- Home friends, leave. Stop texting me for parties, I do not intend to "throw down." Honestly, why did I ever think it was fun to drink in the basement of a house while the parents watched you leave and judged you endlessly?
- Do I really want to know town gossip? I am above that now, right? Nope, no I am not tell me all of it.
- I missed my parents. They are so peppy regardless of the hour. I am so lucky to have them, and they listen to my problems. They do not tell me any of their problems, so I am lucky enough not to be forced to listen.
- Wow, I need to do well in college. I love my childhood home, I probably should look on ANGEL and get my life together before finals.
- Maybe a relationship would solve all my problems. HAHA, no. Why’d I even think of that?
- How many days till I go back to college? I kind of miss my college life. It is time to go back now.
- Don’t make me leave. I lied. I don’t think I want to go back to college. Yeah no, I do not want to make my own dinner or do my own laundry again. I do have to become a real person though.
- Thank you family and friends. You help me, you love me, you annoy me, and you make me want to rush home every time. Thank you for giving me something so hard to say goodbye to, and memories that never fail to make me laugh.
