20 Thoughts Every College Student Has The Week Before Break

A very eventful week, to say the least

20 Thoughts Every College Student Has The Week Before Break

While the week before a break in college is always filled with the excitement of returning home, the excitement is also mixed with other thoughts that take over our minds and add some un-needed stress to the already stressful week. Here are 20 of the most common thoughts that almost every college student can say they have at one point during the week before break.

1. I need to do laundry before I leave.

2. Or maybe I'll just bring it home and let my mom do it.

3. I can't wait to shower without wearing shoes.

4. Maybe I should start packing.

5. I think I'm overpacking for a break of nine days.

6. But I need to pack this sweater that I never wear just in case.

7. I should go to the gym because I am going to gain so much weight over break.

8. But the gym requires effort, and I'm too lazy.

9. I need to contact my boss to pick up shifts so I can attempt to work off my debt.

10. How much sleep can I get over break?

11. What am I going to do over break besides sleep?

12. Who am I kidding -- all I want to do is sleep.

13. I think I forgot how to drive.

14. Not really, but I can't wait to drive again.

15. I'll miss my friends from school.

16. I am beyond excited to see my family and friends.

17. Food -- that's not from the dining hall.

18. It is every professor's goal for their students to go insane before they can go home.

19. I have so much work this week, I don't think I will make it to the end.

20. I can't wait to be home!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
