So you're about to immerse yourself in a new country and a new city! Yay! A couple things may be going through your mind before you set off on this life changing journey, no matter where it might be.
1. I'm kind of nervous, but mostly excited. Or kind of excited but mostly nervous?
2. I wonder if I'll make any new friends when I'm there!
3. Or will they be freaked out by my American-ness?
4. I wonder what the food's like?
5. I'm seriously counting down the days.
6. OK, but maybe I'm not looking forward to the jet lag.
7. It's going to be so hard to focus on this class being in a foreign country and all, but I need that A!
8. Odds I'm gonna loose track of my luggage, passport or any other super important things? Knowing me, that's pretty likely so be super sure you have everything with you 100 percent of the time!
9. I'm gonna have enough TBTs on Instagram to last a lifetime
10. I'm finally going to see places that I've only read about in textbooks!
11. Which is a crazy blessing when you think about it.
12. Am I going to come home with an accent?
13. Am I going to be such a different person by the time I get home?
14. So much culture is coming my way and I can't wait!
15. I may be pushed outside of my comfort zone sometimes, but that's always a good thing!
16. What's crazy is the fact that I'm about to see places that are millions of years older than the U.S. Wow.
17. What should I pack? What are the locals going to think of my fashion choices?
18. *Looks up the weather in study abroad location two weeks in advance.*
19. Leaving for college prepared me for this moment! What's homesickness?
20. I'm about to go on an adventure that I'll remember for the rest of my life.
