20 Things You Have To Do This Summer

The days are getting warmer, the sun is shining, and classes are starting to end. It's almost summer, and I think we are all day dreaming about what fun activities we have planned for it. This is definitely an exciting time because summer might mean a break from school, or a vacation, maybe it means seeing family, or starting a new job. Whatever it means to you, here are some fun things to do this summer!

1. Get a tan.

Or buy some self-tanning lotion.

2. Stay up all night watching movies

Staying up super late watching a marathon in bed, and sleeping in the next day is practically how half of my summer is spent.

3. Eat more fruits and drink smoothies

I'll have a Sour Patch Kids smoothie from Jamba Juice!

4. Go to the beach

Laying on the sand, picnicking, playing beach volleyball, frisbee, body surfing, exploring, bonfires, and sand castles... who wouldn't want to go?

5. Camp with friends

Don't forget to bring S'mores supplies.

6. Go to an amusement park

Six Flags, Disneyland, Knotts berry Farm, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios, California Adventures.... just go to an amusement park for the day and ride all the rides, eat their overpriced food, and take funny photo booth pictures.

7. Go on a road trip

8. Go hiking

9. Sing along at a concert

The rush of going to a concert on a summer night with your friends, will make for great memories.

10. Go to a baseball game

11. Head to the lake for the day

12. Adventure

13. Waterparks

15. Drive to a lookout spot

16. Watch fireworks

17. Get Ice Cream

18. Late night talks with a close friend

19. Read and relax

20. Have a great summer!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
