Being 20 is a weird age. You're no longer a teen but you're nowhere near being the actual "adult" you're supposed to be. I've been 20 for a few months now, but it has dawned on me on how much I either suck at it or don't know how to do it at all. Here's an ode to them!

1. How to do taxes

I guess I'll manage with help from my parents.

2. How to pay a mortgage

Thank god for apartments, I suppose.

3. How TF to start a 401k

4. Anything whatsoever about retirement

I guess I'll deal with it when I'm old?

5. How to fix a car

Time to call dad... or the boyfriend.

6. How to actually ace an interview

10. How to save and spend my money

While I'm building my career, sometimes I find it difficult to be comfortable with who I am and where I'm going, and I think its a common issue for 20-year-olds.

13. How to manage my time

14. How to balance a checkbook

Haven't got a clue.

15. How to be assertive

Not in a mean way, I just need to learn how to stand my ground when needed.

16. How to work on my mental health

On a more serious note, I never really bothered to take the time to work on my mental health growing up, and it is for sure something I need to learn how to do.

17. How to have a normal sleep schedule

Baby GIF

Some days I crash at 9 p.m. ... some days 4 a.m. Who Knows?

18. How to exercise/be healthy

Being in college currently, my physical health sometimes gets hard to work on!

19. How to deal with student loans

All I know is I'll probably be taking them to the grave.

20. How to network

How do I become confident and well known in my field?

Even though there is still a lot I have to learn, I'm excited for what the future holds! And so should every other 20-year-old.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
