20 Things We Look Forward to in Fall

The sun is setting earlier, a cool breeze has snuck up, and the Halloween candy is out in Walmart. We all know what that means? Yep, the fall season is here!!! I have already started a list for what I want to adventure on and I know that I'm not the only one. Here's what many look forward to in Fall!

1. Everything pumpkin!

Pies, Spices, Lattes, and even down to the air freshener.

2. Bonfires

Nothing like the blend of a crisp autumn breeze and roars from burning wood.

3. Football Season

You will see a little bit of this somewhere. It's inevitable.

4. Flannel!

Break out the long sleeved shirts & pajama pants. It's time to spot any luscious lumberjacks.

5. Fall Fashion!

Hoodies, Sweaters, Scarves, Patterns, Jeans, and Boots in that order.

6. Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October has another purpose too.

7. Halloween

Got the movies ready and Pinterest hopping for costumes.

8. No Shave November

After 31 days of pink, guys get a month for themselves to celebrate. Girls too since shorts are basically done for by this time.

9. Thanksgiving

10. Autumn Leaves

The changing of colors and urge to roll around in a big pile.

11. Stargazing

Just lay back and take it all in.

12. Apples

Don't you just love the awesome autumn apple appetizing dishes? Try saying that five times fast.

13. Blanket Cuddles

I just needed a reason to show off baby sloths.

14. S'mores!!!!!

I crave these now more than ever. Bonfire S'mores are the absolute best.

15. Corn Maze

Getting lost in a field is more fun than Netflix.

16. Hay Rides

This is a tradition where I'm from.

17. Pumpkin Patches

It's one thing to eat pumpkins but to go pumpkin picking...

18. Candy Corn

It's around all year but praised now because of the colors .

19. Baking Weekends

I love doing this just for fun. Cookie sheets and cake pans, I'm coming!!

20. Breathtaking Views of God's art.

You can't help but stop and stare. Long walks among this stunning scenery are worth it.

Summer was a blast and a half but after four trips to the beach in the last month, I am ready to ditch the sand for some leaves. Let the amazing season begin!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
