Freshman year has come and gone so quickly I wonder if it even happened. I made so many amazing friends, did wonderful things, and had an incredible year. Now that the year is over, I think back to everything that I accomplished and all that I learned in just nine short months. Here it is:
1. Happiness will find you when you start doing the things you love.
2. Doing what you love will also lead you to your people.
3. It's okay to say goodbye to old friends.
4. Planners are extremely essential.
5. You don't have to be friends with people who make you unhappy.
6. Cafeteria food gets really sickening really fast.
7. Don't take things too personally.
8. You can write a very professional email to your professor, and they will probably just respond with, "Yup -sent from my iPhone."
9. Winter and spring break are over in what feels like seconds.
10. Random roommates will not kill you in your sleep.
11. Don't wait until the night before the exam to start studying.
12. Not all finals are cumulative. Hallelujah.
13. You will miss your high school. No matter how excited you are to be done with it, there WILL be something from it that you will miss dearly.
14. If you make a mistake or forget an assignment, the professor will not care.
15. Spend money on experiences, not items.
16. Eating healthy is really difficult to do.
17. Dorm bathrooms are not something you will miss.
18. Going to tutoring is a very good idea.
19. Getting mail makes you feel like the most loved person on earth.
20. The guac is extra.
