20 Things I Learned Before I Turned 20

1. Take more photos-you'll regret it later if you don't.

2. It's okay, and often times BETTER, to splurge on beauty products.

3. Drink more water. Your skin will thank you.

4. Use a calendar, or an agenda, or phone reminders. Basically, write your sh*t down.

5. Organize your clothes. It makes mornings easier.

6. Call people who matter to you, even if you don't have much to say.

7. It's totally fine to stay in on a Saturday night.

8. When someone tells you a secret, keep it to yourself. Do not disobey somebody's trust.

9. Don't be afraid to ask your family, friends, coworkers, or professors for help.

10. Take advantage of the opportunities given to you, even if they don't seem that helpful at first.

11. Take yourself on dates. Just you and yourself.

12. Try new foods at least once. If you don't like it, it's okay, at least you tried.

13. Be nice to everyone. You never know what someone else might be going through.

14. Always thank people.

15. Sleep really is important. 8 hours really is required.

16. ALWAYS pack an umbrella.

17. Don't be scared to speak candidly. Plenty of people will understand you.

18. Save money anywhere you can. Your savings can help fund your dreams.

19. Be careful who you lend money to. Know who is flakey and who is not.

20. It sounds cliche, but enjoy the time that you have. Every day is a gift, and you should be thankful for the people around you.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
