20 Things I Will Do to Put Off Studying

I can find some pretty ridiculous things to do in order to put off studying.

1. I will vacuum the disgusting, hair-ridden rug in my dorm room.

2. I will read “mommy blogs" that new mothers are famous for sharing on Facebook -- blogs that I am also famous for despising with every fiber of my being.

3. I will go to a baseball game and spend $12 on food.

4. I will go tan (a.k.a. burn).

5. I will look through an ambiguous Middle Eastern bakery's Facebook page that more than likely a middle-aged women shared, only to form a small obsession with making molten lava cakes.

6. I will scour the Internet trying to discover the name of these pastries, only to discover that they are, in fact, just molten lava cakes.

7. I will watch at least three YouTube videos on how to make said cakes.

8. I will paint my nails, mess them up, completely use up a bottle of nail polish remover, then repeat this process at least three more times. My nails will still look sub-par, at best.

9. I will find new monthly subscription boxes to obsess over -- and drain my bank account.

10. I will daydream about the internship I hope to have next summer. I change the setting and corporation with every daydream, so I guess you could say I'm dreaming big.

11. I will make a workout plan.

12. will fail to execute the previously made workout plan.

13. I will read some really terribly written blogs.

14. I will read some really thought-provoking columns and articles.

15. I will realize how snobby it is to distinguish online written pieces in such a way, but continue to do so.

16. I will look up Winston Churchill quotes and Friends quotes, and then proceed to write them in an artsy fashion in my overpriced Kate Spade journal. I could rip this one up to shreds, but I'm just going to ask that you please not judge me too harshly.

17. I will write this silly article.

18. I will realize that my test is in less than twelve hours, and I know more than nothing, but a lot less than I should.

19. I will put aside my realist (nicer word for pessimistic) nature and “radiate good vibes" to the universe (God), in hopes that it will reciprocate the love. (This basically means I am going to pray really, really hard.)

20. I will vow to do better next time.

Here's to us -- the study procrastinators of the world.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
