Finals are less than a month away, and that means everyone is scrambling to pull out passing grades and ensure GPA's stay high. The inevitable procrastination that occurred in the beginning of the semester is now catching up with us, leading to more stress than we know what to do this. While there is such a thing as good stress, that is what rarely occurs during this time of the semester.
An easy way to take care of this stress is to turn off the harsh lights and turn on a soft lamp, lounge on a big pillow, and listen to great music. Music has a way of taking the mind on a journey without the listener having to lift a finger. And while songs with loud bass and great tempos or songs about heartbreak on back roads have their place, here is a list of songs and albums almost guaranteed to help you remove the stress of the day so you can start again strong tomorrow.
This collection of music tells stories and takes listeners away from the everyday stress, and sometimes that's all someone needs in while stressing—a quick get away. These artists and songs are my go-to when I just need to forget the world because their lyrics and voices work so easily to pull you into their worlds.
