You may be asking yourself, "how did I get here"? And to answer that question, there is no clear answer. You ask yourself "what did I do wrong"? And the answer to that is nothing. In today's society, we are always focused on the instant feedback and getting simple answers. Sure, you love your pets like your children, but when it comes to a human being things seem to find a way to become over complicated. Words are over analyzed and texting becomes the main form of communication (this spells out problems).

You often feel like you are on the other side of that window looking in on other people's lives. Your friends are getting engaged left and right. The sight of a good relationship makes you dramatically roll your eyes to the back of your head. But there is always that small part of you that is secretly jealous of what they have. You crave that closeness to someone, that complete and utter trust that only comes with that "L" word. That word that makes you shutter because you really don't know what it feels like (insert another eye roll).

But you need to remember that you are still 20 something. This is the time that you are supposed to free and courageous. Stop wishing and praying away your time where you are supposed to be alive and adventurous. It's time to start falling in love with yourself and being confident in the image that you see in the mirror. Don't be afraid to pamper yourself because you deserve it and you know it. If you truly learn to love yourself your going to snag that guy you only thought existed in your frequent daydreams. Why not be happy and have the guy that makes you weak in the knees.

Don't be afraid to turn down that guy that won't stop blowing up your phone. Because it is okay to say no. Not every guy that you meet is going to be date-worthy and you have the right to be picky. Your man is out there and maybe the timing is just not right. God always has a plan and just think about it, that guy is out there learning and maturing. By the time you meet him, he is going to be close to the best version of himself. So be a 20-something girl because it's time to live and learn. Just go! Break out of your comfort zone and do something that you never thought you would do in a million years. The sun is shining and your adventure awaits.

So what are you waiting for? Fall in love with every part of you and the rest will fall into place in time. Be a strong and in charge, kick ass woman!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
