20 Signs You've Been to Cancun for Spring Break

If you ever been to Cancun for spring break, you know how fun and at the same time, exhausting it is. It's a week of non-stop partying, getting (hopefully) tan, making questionable decisions, and leaving with some interesting stories to tell. I've experienced Florida, Jamaica, and Cancun for spring break and Cancun definitely takes the cake. Here are 20 signs that you have been to Cancun during the craziest week of the year.

1. You waited forever to get through customs.

What a buzzkill to start off the week.

2. Then made up for lost time by getting drunk off tequila shots by noon.

After all, you are in Mexico.

3. And possibly put to bed before dark from said shots.

And woke up completely confused when you were hungover and alone in your hotel room at 10pm.

4. You went to Senor Frogs at least once.

Most likely for the foam or glow party.

5. You invested in a party package.

Sounded like a lot of money at the time of purchase, but it ended up being a great decision.

6. You regretted taking public transportation to go downtown.

You were amazed how many people they could fit on one bus and how many stops they made.

7. But then argued with a taxi driver about the fare when you decided against the public bus.

You were pissed when you got to your destination and the driver said it was $30 to drive you 2.5 miles down the road, but you ended up paying it anyway because you suck at negotiating when you've been drinking.

8. Locals have annoyed you on the beach.

All while they walk back and forth all day asking you over and over if you want to buy something you definitely don't need.

9. You lost your flip flops or sunglasses on the beach.

Seriously, where do they all go?

10. You were pick-pocketed.

Or claimed that you have been pick-pocketed, when in reality you were too drunk to remember you left your phone at the bar or in the bathroom.

11. You witnessed or participated in a white t-shirt contest.

All I have to say is: I hope you were one of the people just to witness it. If not, accept the fact hundreds of random people have videos or pictures of you participating in it.

12. You spoke broken Spanish at some point.

And the locals tried to figure out what you were trying to get across. As long as you knew how to say beer in Spanish (cerveza) and shot (chupito), you were golden.

13. You were too scared to drink the water.

(Even though it's usually fine at hotels) So the whole trip you remained dehydrated.

14. You got too drunk at Coco Bongo.

And probably tried to dance on stage, and if you succeeded, you most likely made a fool of yourself.

15. One article of your clothing was either lost or ruined.

It was bound to happen at some point.

16. You most likely stayed at Oasis.

And if you didn't, shame on you.

17. You opted out of swimming in the ocean.

The rip tide was just way too much to handle in your drunken state.

18. You had to do crazy things to get the bartender's attention.

Begging and doing desperate things were the only ways you were getting a drink.

19. Every meal consisted of fajitas or quesadillas.

If you stayed at an all-inclusive hotel, you could've had as much Mexican food as your stomach could handle.

20. You stayed in bed for two days straight when you got home.

Cancun is probably the most fun place to go on spring break, but it definitely took a toll on you mentally, physically, and financially. Time to stay in bed for a couple days and recuperate.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
