What would we possibly do without friendship? These relationships provide us with constant companions who oftentimes seem to know us better than we know ourselves. Studies have even shown that friendship can be as important to our well-being as eating right and exercising. Here are a just a few things you may be able to thank these lovely people for:
1. For listening.
2. For being honest -- sometimes brutally honest.
3. For sharing a similar sense of humor.
4. Or for laughing at your jokes even when they are not funny.
5. For being genuinely happy for you.
6. For always knowing when something is wrong.
7. And for doing everything in their willpower to help cheer you up when they can tell something is wrong.
8. For blowing up your friend group text message with inside jokes and ridiculous photos.
9. For being a drinking buddy you can always count on.
10. For not taking any of your crap when you throw complete nonsense their way.
11. For staying up until 2 in the morning with you as you cry over a recent break-up.
12. For loving you even at your worst moments.
13. For forgiving you when you have messed up.
14. For being patient.
15. For giving you that extra push when you need it the most.
16. For supporting your decisions -- even if they don't necessarily agree with them.
17. For eating copious amounts of food with you.
18. For lending you that dollar which you both know will never be paid back (the bank of friendship).
19. For being just as weird as you are.
20. And lastly, for accepting you for who you are.
Whether you find one or all of these reasons relatable, there is one thing that is for certain - friends play such an important role in our lives.
