Before you know it, you will walk away as a stronger person, a better leader, full of achievements, and more well-rounded. If you are on the fence about joining Greek life, hopefully the list below shows you what being a part of Greek life can do for you during and after college.

6. Stay athletic by playing on your fraternity/sorority intramural team.

7. Joining Greek life may interest you in becoming involved in additional organizations as well.

8. You will have a constant support team.

9. You'll have a group of friends to eat with you, study with, you'll have gym buddies, and a shoulder to cry on when you need it.

10. Travel opportunities. Whether it be formals, retreats, leadership conferences, or National convention... at some point you will likely travel to a place you have never been.

11. You will be faced with challenges and you will figure out how to overcome them.

12. You will never go a day without having some type of Greek life event going on.

14. Introduce your family to Greek life and break the negative stereotypes about Greek life. Show them what it's really all about during banquets, scholarship day, and family weekend.

15. Greek life will help you stay grounded as well and push you to achieve the best grades possible. We pride ourselves on having the highest grades on campus while balancing several activities as well.

16. You will learn the true meaning of being a team leader.

17. You will connect with people who have been through the same life events at you; even if you feel alone... you're not.

18. Greek life doesn't end once you graduate; once you're Greek, it's for life. You will be encouraged to come back for Homecoming, alumni dinners, charter events, etc.

19. When you travel to other locations where your chapter is located, contact them. Chances are you'll find that you have friends in every state.

20. You'll immediately connect with others who are or were Greek in college. During job interviews, when you're shopping, while you're traveling, etc. Being a part of Greek life gives you this immediate, indescribable connection when you meet someone new. Even if they aren't a part of the same chapter as you, it's like Greek life is its own chapter in the mix of everything else.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
