How I Met Your Mother is, in my opinion, one of the greatest shows of all time. One of the main and most crucial characters in the show is the Minnesota-born and married Marshall Eriksen. Throughout the entire show, he is the most consistently caring and knowledgeable characters. He constantly helps Ted and Barney find their true loves down a long line of girls. This is why Marshall Eriksen is the perfect husband:

1. He's tall

Let's be honest, tall people rule.

2. He celebrates EVERY occasion

Every anniversary, every birthday, every holiday. You can count on him to have a party.

3. He loves football

4. He's a lawyer

But not just any lawyer...an environmental lawyer to be exact.

5. He writes songs for his wife

From "You just got slapped" to "Night Night Lily", having someone who can write songs for you is priceless.

6. He can live anywhere

If he can move from Bemidji, Minnesota to New York, to Italy, then he can live anywhere.

7. His nickname was Vanilla Thunder in high school

Self explanatory...

8. He's got massive funk

The Funk, the Whole Funk, and Nothing but the Funk... Sadly they were only a one hit wonder.

9. He LOVES children

Who doesn't want a great dad as a husband?

10. He has a deep love for food

He has spent a good portion of his life searching for a little burger joint in NYC he once ate at but couldn't remember the name. When he found it, he nearly ascended into heaven.

11. He can dance and drink with the best of them

Don't ever give him tequila or daiquiris because they make him act very strange, but very fun as well. Oh drunk people.

12. He's a selfie king

Marshall does have a love for pictures, and you could make some pretty sweet memories with him.

13. He can relate with your life crisis

From a rough day at work to the moral crisis' that affect us in our everyday lives, he will be there for you.

14. He believes in the supernatural

Having belief in the supernatural means that he's open to anything...anything...

15. He has the joy of child

The joy of a child with alcohol.

16. He can give the best pep-talks

If your sad, Marshall can cheer you right up with one of his patented pep talks!

17. He will make you better as a person

Marshall gives some of the best advice in the show such as enticing Ted to go after the bass-player and having the intuition to move to the suburbs with Lily.

18. He trusts and is confident in his body

IT'S MAN... VERSUS THE MACHINE!!!

19. He will make you laugh at anytime

Let's face it, Marshall is hilarious. He can make you laugh at even the most basic jokes.

20. COUPLE GOALS

Marshall and Lily are couple goals. That's it. Period. End. Of. Story.

How I Met Your Mother is one of the most re-watchable shows, and Marshall is the loving caring husband that helps hold the small group together. Marshall's wisdom and his charismatic "Minnesota-Nice" attitude are awesome, and in my opinion, he is the perfect husband.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
