I think that I can speak for many kids with strict parents when I say that it is not the easiest thing in the world to deal with. While my friends are all having sleepovers and going out late at night, I am cleaning my room and helping with the chores. Here are a few things that you may just hear slip out of your mother or father's mouth if you live in a household with strict parents:

1. "When will you be back?"

2. "Who is going?"

3. "Where are you going?"

4. "Will their parents be there?"

5. "Not until you're done with your chores."

6. "It's a school night. No, you can not have a sleepover."

7. "I will give you some spending money if you do a little work around the house."

8. "A party? I don't think so."

9. "He better come meet us before he picks you up."

10. "Don't you dare use that word in my household."

11. "Not a sip of alcohol until you're 21."

12. "You are not wearing that to school. Go change."

13. "No, you can't know the parental code for the TV."

14. "I called you ten times, where have you been?"

15. "You need to tell me when you switch locations."

16. "Call me when you get there."

17. "You better have your feet in this door by 11 p.m. or you're grounded."

18. "Leave your phone downstairs before you go to bed so that we know that it is off."

19. "Who are you texting?"

20. "You can't leave until your homework is done."

But, we all know that they just have these rules to keep us safe and because they care. Shout out to all of the strict parents out there, keeping us "grounded."

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
