20 Fictional Female TV Characters We All Love

We can't deny that we all wanted to be their friends at one point.

20 Fictional Female TV Characters We All Love

They will always hold a special place in our hearts. We either loved them because they were awesome or hated them because we wanted to be them. All of these 20 ladies held some meaning in our lives at one point or another.

We shared their heartbreaks, joys, and everything that happened in their lives. We found ourselves cheering for their accomplishments and taking it personally when something negative happened in their lives. We couldn't watch the next episode when something traumatic happened in their lives. The following list of ladies is a group of people who I'm honored to have "known."

1. Meredith Grey

She was married to Derek Sheppard, had Christina Yang as a best friend and continued to kill it at work. She has three beautiful children and always moves on. No matter what happened in her life, she continued to move on (with a million people cheering her on)!

2. Cristina Yang

We watched as she battled through life's ups and downs and continued to kick ass while doing so. No one could get in her way and we respected her for that. She offered insights on life through her sarcastic comments and we will always appreciate that from her. Not only that but we will also appreciate her for being Meredith's person.

3. Peyton Sawyer-Scott

We rooted for her and Jake. And then we rooted for her and Lucas. At the end of the day, we rooted for Peyton through it all. We anxiously watched as she battled through deaths, fights, being shot and whatever else life threw at her.

4. Brooke Davis

What's there not to love about Brooke Davis?! She was a bitch for no reason but then turned into a bitch who fought endlessly for her friends and family. There was no one else who loved with more heart than her. She taught us how to put relationships and love over work and money.

5. Haley James Scott

She taught us how to find the best part about people and to always look for their bright, shiny spots. We rooted endlessly for her and Nathan. She gave us hope that our own "Nathan" was out there and to never stop believing in the power of love.

6. Emily Thorne / Amanda Clarke

The most badass female TV character ever. She taught us how to enact the perfect revenge and look killer while doing it. Her life was shattered into a million pieces but she taught us how to pick up those pieces and make the absolute most out of our lives.

7. Miranda Bailey

The momma of the group. She nurtured our favorite interns into the people they are today and we love her for that. While dealing with some of her own demons, she continued to work her way up and become an amazing doctor and chief. She taught us the power of persistence.

8. Serena van der Woodsen

What is there not to be jealous of when talking about Serena? She dated all of the hottest boys on the Upper East Side, was best friends with Blair and always looked perfect. I mean, so what she got arrested, her mom got arrested and she had a psycho "cousin?" Serena resembled class and perfection.

9. Blair Waldorf

Responsible for making up one of the most iconic relationships on TV: Chuck and Blair. Without her witty comments, devious ways and overall love of scamming, GG would not have been the same. Blair represented the bad girl that everybody loved to love/hate.

10. Rachel Green

Iconic Rachel Green. We loved to watch her grow up. From not having a job or not even knowing how to get one to having a flourishing career, Rachel taught us not to give up on ourselves, to always keep fighting for what we want and to never accept mediocrity.

11. Phoebe Buffay

"Smelly cat, smelly cat, what are they feeding you?" Who else could come up with lyrics like that other than Phoebe. She gave us the best songs in history. Not to mention that she was the one who always could make us laugh. Every. Single. Episode.

12. Monica Geller

The one with the best apartment and the most gracious hosting skills. She taught us how to pine after our older brother's best friend! No but seriously, she taught us how to believe in true love and to now let anyone stand in the way of what our heart is telling us.

13. Tami Taylor

The most graceful and humble mom on TV. We felt that her advice to Julie and the Panthers football team applied to us too. We envied her marriage to Coach Taylor and she showed us how a marriage is supposed to be. Supporting her significant other and still making a career for herself, there was nothing that Tami Taylor couldn't do.

14. Lizzie McGuire

What didn't Lizzie McGuire teach us in our middle school days? Lizzie taught us the basics on boys (*cue heart eyes* Ethan), friends (remember Miranda & Gordo), enemies, sibling fights, parents and how to navigate our way in school while remaining true to who we are.

15. Gabriella Montez

Who wasn't envious of her relationship with Troy? Her ability to be amazing at school and be a kick ass singer as well. We lived for the High School Musical movies and were terribly sad when "High School Musical 3," came out and they all went about on their "adult" lives.

16. Rory Gilmore

The perfect balance between studious and down to earth. Rory showed us how to go with the flow in life, how to prioritize school (and get into an Ivy League) and also how to have a social life.

17. The Pretty Little Liars Girls

Besides showing us that we never should have that many secrets and that we never want to go to Rosewood, they showed us how to stick together. We watched them go through high school (all 6-7 years they were in it) and could relate to a lot of the drama that surrounded them.

18. Michelle Tanner

Besides being the most adorable toddler on TV, Michelle gave us some of the best phrases. She had some cool older sisters, a smoking hot Uncle, a beautiful Aunt and a pretty cool Dad. Michelle was the absolute best on "Full House" and we are all a little disappointed that she won't be on "Fuller House."

19. Penny from "The Big Bang Theory"

The "normal" one among geniuses. Penny showed us how to be ourselves even when surrounded by all kinds of different people. She also is hilarious and we love her and Leonard together.

20. Elena Gilbert

She showed us how to move on after having two major losses in life. She also got to date two major hotties and remained humble through it all.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
