This is a list of my somewhat ambitious summer reading list which are all under or close to $10.

1. Adulting: How to Become a Grown-Up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps by Kelly Williams Brown

This book gives advice on how to make the indistinct transition from adolescent to official, bona-fide adult.

2. How to Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran

This book, in more of an essay format than Brown's step-by-step guide, tells you how to be a female in a world with a predominantly male mentality.

3. A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab

This fantasy thriller adventure is as effortlessly world building as J.K. Rowling's masterpiece: "Harry Potter."

4. A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab

This is the sequel to Schwab's A Darker Shade of Magic, class="redactor-invisible-space">which definitely deserves one.

5. S. by J.J. Abrams and Doug Dorst

This book is an immersive experience that includes the actual story, the story of the couple writing in the margins, plus handouts and letters stuck between the pages that tell the story of the author.

6. The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

This book attempts to answer the question of whether self-fulfillment is a selfish pursuit and, along the way, make you happier.

7. Hogwarts Library by J.K. Rowling

This book set contains The Tales of Beadle the Bard, which is crucial to the plot of The Deathly Hallows, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is the premise for the new film starring Eddie Redmayne, as well as Quidditch Through the Ages.

8. Lorien Legacies: The Fate of Ten by Pittacus Lore

This book is the sixth in the I Am Number Four Series, which is surprisingly fast-paced, quirky, and thrilling.

9. Lorien Legacies: United as One by Pittacus Lore

This book is coming out June 28 of this year and is the final installment of Lore's series.

10. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

Soon to be a major motion picture, this book tells the story of a young girl who becomes caretaker to rich, paralyzed young man and how the relationship effects them both.

11. Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Sword of Summer by Rick Riordan

The first in a new series, Riordan takes on another mythology, no doubt spurred by Thor and Loki in the string of Marvel movies, and the main character is cousins with Percy Jackson's Annabeth Chase. The second in the series, The Hammer of Thor, will be released in October of this year.

12. The Trials of Apollo: The Hidden Oracle by Rick Riordan

Also the first in a new series, this book takes demigod to a whole new level by demoting Apollo, ancient god of music and the sun.

13. Demigods & Magicians by Rick Riordan

This is a compilation of short stories, The Son of Sobek, The Staff of Serapis, The Crown of Ptolemy, where characters from Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians and The Kane Chronicles interact.

14. Carry On by Rainbow Rowell

This book is an expansion on the fan fiction written by the main character of Rowell's Fangirl based on a school of magic.

This book is for anyone who enjoyed Markus Zusak's "The Book Thief," because it focuses on World War ll from the perspective of native Germans.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
