Sometimes you just need a good book. A book to warm your soul and mend your heart. But sometimes the best books even make you cry… hysterically. Here are some of the books that I think every girl should read by the end of college, if not sooner.
1. "The Notebook" by Nicholas Sparks
With extreme passion, Nicholas Sparks paints a picture of what it's like to stand by the person you love no matter the hardships.
2. "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks

9. "Yes Please" by Amy Poehler
Poehler writes an extraordinarily funny book with loads of personal stories that will allow for a bit of self reflection.

11. "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky
Chbosky's book is one hundred times better than the movie, I promise.
12. "Breaking Night" by Liz Murray

Laurie Halse Anderson tells the story of a young girl that probably couldn't have had a worse experience even if she begged.
15. "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare
We all know the story, but to read it in the original intended wording makes it 100x better.
16. "Othello" by William Shakespeare
Yet another beautifully tragic story that should be on your "Already Read" list.
17. "Hamlet" by William Shakespeare
Most people know this one too, but again, reading it the was it was intended is way better.

A great illustration of the importance of being authentic.
20. "The Color Purple" by Alice Walker
Alice Walker writes this novel with such explicit rawness, you're bound to take it to heart.
