1990s To 2015: 11 Disney Stars Now

Let's face it; the Disney Channel stars who were popular and hip for the 1990s generations have drastically grown up and either created different images or have fallen off the map. These are the stars we looked up to; as young adults do we still look up to them now? Let's take a look and you can decide for yourselves.

Let’s begin with the basics:

1. Hannah Montana/Miley Stewart – Miley Cyrus

I would love to guess how many people actually knew Miley’s last name in the Disney TV show. Clearly, she is not the same little girl who fans raved about when they were younger.

2. Lizzie McGuire – Hilary Duff

Everyone knows about Hilary’s sister, Haylie, and Lizzie’s secret love for her best friend, Gordo. Everyone also still listens to “What Dreams Are Made Of,” which was the first song Hilary sang as a young artist. Now, Hilary just recently separated from her husband, whom she shares a child with. She is still such a positive role model.

3. Zack & Cody – Dylan and Cole Sprouse

These hot twins began acting at young ages, but now, they are 23 years old and NYU graduates. How crazy is that?

4. Mitchie Torres – Demi Lovato

She knew how to rock the bangs at a young age and shocked the world with her amazing voice. Now, Demi not only has top selling singles, but she is a role model for girls who have battled eating disorders. This girl’s got the curves and all the confidence now.

5. Troy Bolton – Zac Efron

He was a heart throbbing, star basketball player then, and he’s still stealing hearts now. Starring in hit movies, Zac has proven that it doesn’t take only looks to succeed, but looks, along with experience, do help.

6. Shane Grey – Joe Jonas (and the rest of the Jonas Brothers)

They first surfaced in Camp Rock with Demi Lovato and gained major success as a stable boy band. Now, the brothers have gone their separate ways career-wise. Nick Jonas has had some major hits recently, and Joe and Kevin? Well, one is married and one became irrelevant.

7. Gabriella Montez -- Vanessa Ann Hudgens

Known as the “it girl” after the release of "High School Musical," Vanessa was the girl everyone wanted to be. From dating Zac Efron on and off screen to being a singer and actress, she had the whole package. A lot changes when the girls get older, including temptations over spring break.

8. Raven Baxter – Raven-Symoné

The girl who was psychic. Yeah, she was funny at times and entertaining, but what on earth happened to the show? And where is Raven now?

9. Keely Teslow – Aly Michalka (and AJ Michalka)

These two sisters were hot commodities when they began to sing together. In the past, they were known as Aly and AJ, but now, they are known as 78Violet. I wonder how many '90s kids knew that.

10. Alex Russo – Selena Gomez

Funny thing to note, before landing her own show, Selena guest starred on "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" as well as "Hannah Montana." Selena is most famous for her singing career and her involvement with the greatest Belieber himself.

11. Many different roles – Lindsay Lohan

Yeah, she starred in all of the old Disney movies. Now, what is she most famous for? Getting arrested? Saved the best for last.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
