19 Times You Were Tina Belcher Growing Up

For those of you who haven't discovered the greatest cartoon of all time, stop what ever you are doing and go binge watch "Bob's Burgers" on Netflix. I have fallen in love with the Belcher family, as each character reminds me of someone I know. Recently I realized that the ever charming teenage daughter, Tina, is undoubtedly my high school self. Take a look at just how similar you were to the awkward and lovable Tina Belcher during your high school years. Try not to cringe -- or laugh.

1. When your ninth grade boyfriend broke your heart and the whole family had to suffer.

Remember how dramatic your first breakup was? It's funny now, right? Yeah -- your family still hates you for crying to Adele for three months straight.

2. Whenever you didn't get your way.

As your mom would say, "use your words!"

3. When you were learning how to drive.

My poor father didn't have the patience. Next time you see your driver's ed teacher, give them a hug. They risked their life for you.

4. When you saw your crush in the hallway.

That pep talk you gave yourself after fifth period -- absolutely cringe-worthy.

5. When you got into your first girl fight.

Back when words like "fr*ggin'" and "hell" were unspeakable. Now, words like "see you next Tuesday" just roll off the tongue.

6. Day dreaming in Study Hall.

Girl, it was your world and all of those boys were just living in it.

7. Whenever you got a 100 percent on a test.

All those gold stars from elementary school? After you aced that "Lord of the Flies" test you became a gold star.

8. When you tried to give your friends advice.

The best cure for sadness is laughter. The only way to cure your BFF's broken heart was through pizza and a good laugh.

9. When you first discovered your sexuality.

Remember the first time you realized there was more to a person than just their face? And nothing was the same.

10. Flirting at your first job and trying to look busy when your boss walked in.

Excuse me while I brew some ketchup in the corner here.

11. At school dances when your jam came on.

"Shawty got them Applebottom jeans... boots with the fur..."

12. When all your friends were getting boyfriends and you were just like...

Let's pretend that you don't currently have the highest body count out of all of your friends. Kidding -- not really.

13. The first time you went to a concert without your parents.

There was no one there to stop you from doing your thang.

14. The first time you tried coffee.

Your parents were worried about drug addiction while you were slowly falling into the Starbucks trap. Sure, it tasted like regret. But you finished that dreaded four-page paper in an hour. Four pages? I'd kill for that now.

15. When you tried makeup for the first time.

Before we knew about those makeup tutorials on YouTube, we just had to wing it.

16. When you thought it was time for a change and immediately regretted it.

Your mom probably hung up the school pictures as a lifetime reminder.

17. During Obama's election when you tried to get involved in politics.

Why are there two meanings for every word?!

18. That time you auditioned for the lead in the school play -- and were cast in the chorus.

I will never forgive those directors for sticking me in the back. I was born to shine.

19. And finally, during senior speeches when you just couldn't wait to GTFO.

Who even remembers what was said? You were too busy thinking about all the college boys you were going to charm to care.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
